THE ART OF WINE { THE GARDEN OF TASTE }

The Garden of Taste considers gastronomy and wine making as vital components of its official ECoC Pafos2017 programme. A series of events and actions will take place around the whole of Pafos from now to the end of 2017.
*Pafos2017 will also host the Pafos Municipal Philharmonic orchestra  under the direction of Dimitris Evangelou with music by Manos Hadjidakis, Mikis Theodorakis and Dionysis Savvopoulos

Immersion of Cypriot wine in the sea
☞ The immersion of Cypriot wine in the sea (aging wine underwater) will take place at the artificial reef in Geroskipou, aiming to bring these back up onto land during the opening ceremony festivities for Pafos2017, European Capital of Culture in January 2017.

Wine Tasting and Barrel exhibition
☞Thirteen oak wine barrels are converted into works of art by the Fine and Applied Arts and Architecture students. An introduction to the vineyards of Pafos through a wine tasting experience with local wines that are representative of the region.
